Beware of Low cost data recovery

Fixed / Low Price for Data Recovery means you may putting your Data Recovery Work into the wrong hands ! ! !

If your car had broken down and your mechanic told you "I can guarantee you a price of €200.00 to fix your car – I don’t need to know what the problem is!" – would you not be suspicious? He would, obviously, be playing a numbers game hoping that all your car needed is a new Spark Plug or Distributor Cap etc. If the engine is shot he’s just going to ring you back and tell you that it’s going to cost more . .  . .a lot more!

The same is happening every day in the Data Recovery Field and the consequences are equally, if not more, serious . . .

There are hundreds and, even, thousands of possible reasons that you cannot access your data on your drive, memory stick etc. Each reason will result in different required input of parts and labour. Also sourcing parts to repair drives can be difficult. You cannot buy "New Replacement Parts" for failed Drives. You need "Donor Drives" for parts from to use in the Recovery.

We have over 4000 such Donor Drives in stock. In fact, we would be one of the Bigger Data Recovery Houses in Ireland / UK. We are also in a Parts Availability Partnership with Three Other Data Recovery Agencies in Spain, Germany and Russia – giving us access to a further 11000 – 12000 such Donor Drives.

However, even with this access to this big volume of Donor Drives, we still often have to source such Donor Drives "on the Open Market". The Sellers of these Drives know that they are for Data Recovery Purposes and tend to charge premium prices accordingly. It would not be unusual to pay €200.00 - €400.00 for Donor Drives, if required.

Let no Data Recovery House tell you that "They have a deal with the Drive Manafacturer" – Deals of this type rarely exist. More often than not, the Hard Drive Manufacturer wants to sell you a new drive; not help you repair the old one!

This begs the Question – with these substantial variables at play "How could somebody commit to a price of €200.00?"

As you can see, it is impossible to provide an accurate quotation without actually having a look at the drive and determining what the fault ( and likelihood of Data Recovery) is. 

There are many unscrupulous operators out there – playing a numbers game. They promise you a price [ "Get It In Cheap" ] with the hope of it being a simple fault where they make a Fast Buck. If it turns out to be more involved type of recovery they ring you back and tell you "We need to send this on for Advanced Recovery" [ "Check It Out Expensively" ].

These operators are not proper Data Recovery Specialists and often do more damage to your Media because of their unqualified, inexperienced attempts at making a fast buck.
